A foreign hand under my palm
A story yet to be told.
Seems that all is done
Memories left in the cold.
A simple glare, an elusive smile
Captures my eye, warms my heart.
Back turned; its not worth while
Far away, at opposite ends of an arc.
A vivid face, a familiar breath
Forever lost; was never felt.
Distant miles; unimaginable depth
Something new, I've never dealt.
A constant picture, flashing in my mind
Short, abrupt, cruel yet a beautiful sight.
Those soft supple lips above mine,
Is now just something I wouldn't find.
